Digital Beliefs
Privacy policy
Last updated 19 October 2026
This website, digitalbeliefs.com, is operated by Tectel Pty Ltd (ABN 69 163 480 313), trading as Regenerate Consulting and Publishing (“we”, “us”, “our”). We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and fulfil your order:
- Enquiries. If you send an event brief or contact form, we collect your name, email address and the details you choose to give us, such as your organisation, event, date, location and audience.
- Pre-orders. When you pre-order Digital Beliefs, our payment provider Stripe collects your name, email address, payment details and, for posted copies, your delivery address. We receive your name, email, delivery address and order details. We never see or store your full card details.
- Website use. We use analytics to understand how the site is used (see below). This tells us things like which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are located and what device they use. It doesn’t tell us who you are.
How we use it
We use your personal information to:
- respond to your enquiry and check Michelle’s availability;
- process your pre-order, email you Chapter 1, and deliver or arrange collection of your book;
- contact you about your order, including any change to the launch date;
- understand and improve how the website works.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t add you to a marketing list without your consent.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run the website and fulfil orders. They handle your information only to provide their service to us:
- Stripe processes payments;
- Resend sends our order emails, including Chapter 1;
- Cloudflare hosts the website and protects it from abuse;
- Nova Strategic, our website provider, operates the form system that delivers enquiries to us;
- Plausible Analytics and Google Analytics measure website use;
- Australia Post or another carrier delivers posted copies.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it to a standard consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
We may also disclose personal information when the law requires it.
Analytics and cookies
Plausible Analytics doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t collect personal information. Google Analytics uses cookies to tell visits apart. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on. The site still works if you do.
How we protect and keep it
We store personal information with reputable providers that use industry-standard security. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires (for example, tax records), and then delete or de-identify it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, or to correct it. You can also ask us to delete it, unless we need to keep it by law. We’ll respond within 30 days.
Contact and complaints
For any privacy question, request or complaint, email [email protected]. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
